About Fountain Valley Tennis Center
The Fountain Valley Tennis Center is a 12 court Public Tennis venue owned by the City of Fountain Valley and operated by Recreational Management Services, Inc.
Donald Alger is the President and the USPTA Professional and the Director of Tennis. Russell Alger is the Head Pro and director of programming. Melinda Alger is Admistrator of operations at the Tennis Center.
Under the management of Donald Alger, the center offers a variety of programs and tools to help you learn how to play, to challenge those who know how to play, and to assist those who just want to get out and exercise.
The Center has been recognized and awarded by the Orange County Register and their reading public in the BEST of BEST issues for the best place to Come and Play and Learn the game of tennis, come see some of the awards hanging at the Center. The teaching staff has been recognized by MASTER PROFESSIONAL Don Hansen of the USPTR , as being one of the best teaching staffs he has ever reviewed. The Teaching Staff is headed by USPTA Head Professional, Don Alger, he has hired and trained many players to become excellent teachers, delivering information to a wide variety of students. Russ Alger, Head Pro and director of programming has a great following of all ages and uses his positive delivery to make sure there is a smile on each students face while learning or improving their game. Minh Duong former Davis Cup Player in Vietnam has been at the Center longer than Don & Melinda Alger. His warm, smiling delivery never goes unnoticed and he is recognized by his customers for his willingness to try almost anything on the court.

The Center offers lessons for ages starting as young as 3 years old in Quick Start Tennis and all the way through adults of all ages and abilities. We have a wonderful over 50 Tennis Playing Program, come and see them and meet them on Monday and Friday mornings beginning at 8:30 am. Our Junior programs start with group lessons, advance into Tournament Training and into USTA Junior Team Tennis. With our Junior Team Tennis Program we have seen them win consistently over the years winning 13 division titles. In 2003 our Girls 18 and under won the Southern California Division Title and were qualified to go to the Junior Olympics in Detroit Michigan, taking 7 th Place for their division competing against teams from all over the United States.

A native of Viet Nam, Frank (Hoang) Weiskirch has a passion for the game of tennis and is committed in developing players with a foundation to grow without limits.
Frank is graduate of the TENNIS TEACHER INSTITUTE, an Elite USPTA Professional, received a BS in Industrial Engineering degree from California University at Pomona. However, Frank’s true calling is teaching tennis. In 1999 he got USPTA certified and has been a full-time tennis teacher ever since, teaching at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts with Don Henson, an original USPTA Master Professional, coaching at Northwood High School in Irvine, in 2000, teaching tennis classes for the City of Irvine from 2000 to 2007, and is currently teaching with RMS at the Fountain Valle Tennis Center.
Frank believes strongly that “Complete teachers of tennis are much more than tennis experts. They also possess an in-depth understanding of the body in motion, and have the ability to communicate in a clear and powerful way.” – USPTA Master Professional Don Henson.

Beau Kojima - Professional Pickleball Player
Beau Kojima began his Tennis carreer competing in the Open Juniors and quicky became one of the top players in Southern California, winning multiple titles in both singles and doubles play. After finishing High School, Beau received a college scholarship to SDSU and did extremely well until his injuries prevented him from competeting at a Division One level. Beau has found a passion in teaching Tennis at all levels, both juniors and college play. He's coached and developed players from a beginner level to a division one level, and some have recevied scholarships to various colleges. He's coached multiple teams competing in the USTA Team Tennis leagues and has done very well. Beau has transitioned his passion to Pickleball, hes taken his vast knowledge from tennis and now gears it towards the fastest growing sport here in America. He specializes in the short game, dinking, spins, overall technique and footwork. He also knows strategy and court prowess like the back of his hand. Beau quickly became a Professional Pickleball Player in under 2 years, winning multiple Open Tournaments. He loves to share his knowledge and is eager to take on any and all students.
